A hand-pinched tea cup made from black stoneware and fired in an anagama kiln with soda.

The long firing has transformed the dark clay, creating a deep, shifting surface of black, blue-grey and subtle warm traces. Light catches in the irregular surface like a faint glow moving through the night.

The marks of the fingers remain visible in the clay, giving the cup its organic form and quiet presence. Shaped by hand, flame and atmosphere, NIGHT LIGHT is completely one of a kind.
