INLAND

Named after the Greenland Ice Sheet — ancient ice resting beneath shifting layers of snow.

Carved by hand from a solid block of white stoneware clay using the Japanese kurinuki technique, INLAND carries the raw character of a frozen landscape. The pale glaze settles across its carved surface like newly fallen snow, while dark crevices and cool blue-grey tones appear as exposed ice, rock and deep glacial fissures.

Held between the hands, the cup reveals a changing terrain of ridges, hollows and tool marks. The uneven rim meets the lips gently, and each turn offers the fingers somewhere new to rest.

More than a cup, INLAND feels like holding a small fragment of Greenland — shaped by pressure, cold and time.
